Alcons QB363 arrayable bass
The QB363 is a modular front-loaded, arrayable bass system, for permanent and semi-portable applications. It is designed to act as scalable low-end extension of the Q-series pro-ribbon column arrays.

The Alcons Q-series scalable ribbon-array columns represent a new type of sound reproduction system; With full-range cylindrical radiation, the systems feature a unique combination of the “throw” of a J-curved line-array system with the “ease-of-use” of a traditional point-source loudspeaker.

The Q-series has been designed as solution to obtain excellent coverage and ultimate intelligibility over longer distances in “acoustically challenging” environments. Featuring triple 12” long excursion woofers with Neodymium magnet structures, the QB363 delivers high quality, tight and accurate bass response from a very compact and weight efficient package.

With a face-print exactly the same as the QR36/QM36 pro-ribbon column arrays, the QB363 can be stacked in multiples to form bass arrays of up to or even beyond 10 meters / 30ft. By using 12”/30-cm drive units in tight spacing arrangement and a usable frequency response of 38Hz to 250Hz., this bass system operates completely within the acoustic line-array parameters in vertical (and horizontal) bass arrays; Formed in longer arrays the QB363 extends the near-field behaviour down to the lower octaves.

For full system performance, the QB363 is to be used in combination with an ALC amplified loudspeaker controller. Driven by the ALC, the QB363 delivers maximum sound quality and output power with dedicated and inaudible (power and excursion!) protection (SDP circuit). Furthermore, the Signal Integrity Sensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the QB363 and the ALC; This circuitry maintains a damping factor of 10.000 and offers a tight and accurate mid and bass response, even at lowest system impedance.

As all Alcons cabinets, the QR36 system is finished in Durotect™ scratch-resistant coating and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
